In honor of the 50th Earth Day celebration, here are a few clothing companies with a sustainability focus.
East/West (Los Angeles): Clothing made from overstock, vintage, or deadstock materials
East/West sells their re-purposed clothing on their website: https://www.east-west-shop.com/ and also have a store in Chinatown, Los Angeles (temporarily closed). You can also buy DIY patches, fabric swatches, thread, etc. from their store, to re-purpose your own clothes in a creative way.
DENIMCRATIC (Chicago): repurposed denim clothing
DENIMCRATIC repurposes denim scraps and denim clothing. Customers also have the option to create custom looks. Stuck on what to do with those old jeans from five years ago? Problem solved.
